09 - Floating Floor & Living Room 

Floating floor installation and Living Room insulation and seal. A lot was going on during this time in between these pictures. Her you can see the knobs for the hall pantry, bathroom barndoor and the German smear wall all done before the flooring.  The flooring had to be laid last because the other work on the walls needed completion first - there's an order to things. 

1. There was no insulation In the oldest original parts of the house so I addressed all insulation issues. This time, the living room had a lot of air seepage most easily felt during wintertime, so I added a layer of insulation over the old sheetrock, and another layer of sheetrock. We lost 1.5 inches in the space, but it was worth it.  

2. Resealed all the windows caulk on the inside and silicon on the outside.

3. The insulation efforts made a big difference.
